Utilizing on in-depth academic theories and fine technologies in pharmacy, the Department of Pharmacy has produced 2,000 pharmacists so far. Established in 1996, the Department of Oriental Pharmacy teaches professional principles and knowledge on Oriental pharmacy, the very first in the country.

The College of Dentistry develops experts for the prevention of dental diseases, as well as the recovery, maintenance and improvement of dental health. It aims to establish one’s entire personality by training graduates who are knowledgeable in medicine and at the same time experts in serving people.

School of Medical

With the goal to improve one’s health and preserve precious human life from diseases, students learn the theories and the science of medicine in order to become supportive doctors and medical professionals. After graduation, the students are trained at the Wonkwang University hospitals across the nation.

Division of Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities

For the first two years, students will take courses in law, writing, philosophy, history, sociology and language classes that will prepare them for further studies in Humanities. In the third year, they will pick a department and major in one area they are interested in.

 

Division of interdisciplinary Studies in Natural Science

Freshmen and second-year students will take classes to get ready for their future studies such as Specialized Graduate Schools in Medicine and Dentistry and Natural Science departments. In the third year, they will decide on their majors.

Division of Police Administration

The division was accredited in 1995, the first of its kind in the region. Students are trained to become leaders in police administration through their efficient and expert management.

Division of Fire Service Administration

The Division of Fire Service Administration trains students who plan to become fire fighters or government employees. It provides various educational programs in fire fighting, disaster prevention, rescue, relief, and social welfare-related services.

Division of Military Services

The Division of Military Services aims to train future-oriented professional officers. It trains students to become officers with superior leadership skills based on self-discipline and moral integrity.
